Do you want to try mUzima yourself?

You can try mUzima by downloading and installing the mUzima mobile application from the Google Play Store, and connecting it to the demo server.

Below are the steps to install mUzima on your Android device for testing purposes:

  1. Go to Google Play store and search for ‘muzima’.
  2. Choose to install the mUzima mobile application.
  3. Launch the installed application on your Android device.
  4. Read carefully and accept the disclaimer information provided on the initial page of the application.
  5. Ensure that your Android device has an internet connection, and then use the following credentials to log into the app to be able to access the demo instance of OpenMRS and mUzima:
    • Server: Leave default value in place
    • Username: admin
    • Password: test
  6. On the list of setup options, choose guided setup, and select ‘HIV Program’ as the setup configuration option. This configuration has demo forms, concepts, cohorts already set for you to use.
  7. Let the setup process configure the application, and choose Finish once the process is completed.

Once you complete the listed steps, you will be taken to the application’s landing page. Every subsequent time you log into the application, you will be taken to the landing page. From this page, you shall be able to explore the features of the application.

Demo server

mUzima community provides a ready-to-use instance of OpenMRS available at demo server link. The demo server is a fully working instance of OpenMRS and already has a large number of clinical data (not on actual patients), primarily for use for demo purposes. The Demo server has been set up to give mUzima use cases from both implementer and user perspectives and can help you to explore the mUzima application.

The demo server login credentials are:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: test
