Additional features in mUzima v2.7.0

Here are some of the features that make mUzima for Health Providers the most robust release:

Clinical Summary feature

The summary report feature is built to render abstract patient reports and summaries to the mUzima application. The feature utilizes the OpenMRS reporting module to design and generate HTML reports. Patient clinical summary aids healthcare providers in making clinical decisions.

Setup configuration level settings

The setup configuration level setting was introduced to provide more flexibility in the use of mUzima app features. For instance, it is possible to enable some features of the app for a given program and disable the same features for another program in an implementation that runs multiple programs on the same OpenMRS instance.

Support for picking GPS locations from within a form

Data collection process was made much easier with the introduction of GPS location picking within a form. The form can capture accurate location coordinates from the respondents. This is achieved by allowing the app to access the location on the device.

Support for defining relationships within a registration form

mUzima registration forms allow the relationship between entities to be defined. It helps to identify the persons’ close contacts and their relationship for easy contact tracing or relaying of information.

 >    The download of a subset of a cohort filtered by location or/and provider

Support for opening a form from another form

>   Relationship feature (Linkage of index person on the mobile app as well as viewing of relationships)

Multi-theme feature (dark/night mode and light/day mode – available under settings)

Geomapping feature (Ability to locate patient address on google maps and get directions to their location important especially for patient tracing)

>   Manual sync widget to sync all items if automatic sync is set off

>   Concept parsing using UUID’s (Ability to use concept UUIDs on forms in addition to ID’s)
